Group 1 (Day 3)

Dear Diary,

Here's the various happenings for the day...

Master Class
Today we had our Master Class once again with Mr. Carpio. He gave us feedback of our performance & told us we sang quite well for our performance. He also taught us how to improve in our performance. The interesting part was the Q&A Session that we had right at the end when we could ask the expert burning questions that we had. We learnt the following:
· Our standing position.
· Singing = 90% breathing
· Facial expressions bring songs to live and convey the writer’s message.
Mr. Carpio told us that learning stops once we find things easy and unchallenging. We feel it is very true and that we must always be open to learning even if it is something that we have heard before.
In a choir, when everybody strives to be better than one another, that choir benefits as a whole and climbs up strongly. However, having a member with poor attitude is enough to pull the whole choir down. We feel that on our own, we must always strive to do our best & if there are friends who suddenly seem restless and unmotivated, we must encourage them along.

Team-Building Games
We had loads of fun during the team-building games! There was loads of screaming & excitement in the air. The activities helped us to get to know more about one another including our teachers and we all had a good laugh! Thanks to Ying Qing & Ying Jie for leading us in the activities. =)

Sending Mr. Lim Off
Mr. Lim had to go off today around 2pm. We felt sad to see him go as we know it would feel like something is missing from the choir. We miss his laughter and company! We miss his funny expressions when he conducts!!

Friendship Concert (Pyjamas Night!)
Everybody came with their pyjamas, soft toys, pillows, blankets! Some cute stuff from our choir is Sheepie, Care Bear and Ms. Goh’s Garfield bedroom slippers! The best part of the concert was having to dance to “Nobody” by Wondergirls. Mr. Darius led the different schools of choirs and taught them the dance steps! We seriously had great fun!

Love,
RACHELS, Pei Ting, Syazwani, Hui Yu,
Tabitha & Ms. Carmelia
