Group 1 (Day 1)

Dear Diary,

Today was a most fruitful day! This is now the end of the day and we are oh so tired…The bus journey was super long. We had a first stop over at Yong Peng and we were given ONLY 20 minutes to eat and have a toilet break. We saw many other choirs too. The toilet was quite a sight and an unforgettable experience. We then continued our journey to Genting Highlands. The choir deserves an MTV Motormouth award because throughout the journey, there was music in the air and people were singing non-stop. All in all, we sat in the bus for 8 hours! (Longest bus ride of our lives)

We were the first school to arrive at the Genting International Conference Centre (GICC). We were given our room keys and we were so glad we didn’t have to wait too long. We then “kaypo-ed” around and found out who our neighbours were.
We would like to share with you a joke that our bus guide Mr. Jacky shared with us…He told us how Malaysia’s English differs from ours.
Scenario: Someone is blocking your way.
What would you say?

Singaporeans: Excuse me…..

Whereas the Malaysians would say …. “May I pass away?” (HAHAHAHAHAH!)
We found this very hilarious! (By the way, Mr. Jacky is a Malaysian himself)

We shall now skip on to the part about our dinner. We had dinner at the First World Café. We took our food that was still steaming hot. By the time we reached our tables, our food turned COLD in just a few seconds!

We then had our Practice Session with Mr. Lim and Mr. Ronald our in-house pianist. He was an ex-student of SKSS. We sang our 3 songs that we will be performing at the Friendship Concert tomorrow! We hope that everything goes smoothly and that we will deliver a great performance. For tomorrow we are supposed to dress up in Christmas-themed clothes! We all have our SANTA HATS ready!!!
We are all sleepy now and we have had quite a long day! So … GOODNITE EVERYONE!
ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Love,
